Sorry, this was "more-than-extensively" discussed on deWP:

She "formally" was never Austrian, as her father had applied for German citizenship in 1937, before so-called Anschluss in March 1938. She nevertheless disliked to be seen as "German", especially as soon she stayed in France.

frWP describes her as "Austrian-German-French" whilst [usually more precise] deWP just notes "German-French", plus above given note. [w.] 2009年12月8日 (火) 15:10 (UTC)
