ソロモン（英語: Solomun、1975年12月27日 - ）は、ボスニア・ドイツ出身のDJ。ベスト・プロデューサー、ベストDJ、ベスト・メロディック・ハウスDJとしてDJ Awards（英語版）を4回受賞。[1][2][3]

キャリア[編集]

トラヴニク、ユーゴスラビア（現在ボスニア・ヘルツェゴビナ）で産まれた後、[4]ソロモンは家族と共にハンブルクへと拠点を移動。子供の頃は父親の建設作業を手伝っていた。[5]時期に映像制作が好きであることに気づく。[6]友人数名と共に小規模な制作会社を設立し、短編映画の制作を行う。[5]5年ほど映像の仕事をした後、音楽に彼のパッションを見つける。ナイトクラブに頻繁に通っていた従兄弟がテープを持ってきたのがきっかけで、民放ラジオ以外の音楽と初めて出会う。[7]以来、ヴァイナル・レコードを集めるようになり、16歳のときに演奏を始める。[8]音楽からしばらく離れた後、23歳の時に楽曲制作を再開。[9]

2005年にAdriano Trolioと共に自主レーベルDiynamicを設立。[10] Diynamicのモットーは「Do It Yourself」。[11]ソロモンのファーストEP『Solomun EP』は2006年にリリース。[12] 以来、数々のEPやコンピレーション、そして2009年のアルバム『Dance Baby』をリリースしてきた。[13]2010年12月には新たに、よりエクスペリメンタルなレーベル2DIY4をローンチした。[14]

ソロモンのルーツはヒップホップ、ソウル、ファンク、そしてR&Bにある。[15]彼のサウンドは「ハウス・ミュージックでありながら、ディープでファンキーなベースライン、多幸感のあるメロディー、感情を揺さぶるヴォーカルが特徴」と称される。[16]

2018年、グランド・セフト・オートVのDLC「After Hours」にキャラクターとして登場。[17]さらにはソロモンの楽曲「Customer Is King」のミュージック・ビデオはRockstar Gamesとのコラボレーションでグランド・セフト・オートVのゲーム・エンジンのみで制作された。[18][19]

2020年10月16日、ニュー・シングル「Home」をリリース。「Home」は待望のニュー・アルバムに先駆けて公開される4つの収録曲の1つ。「Home」はBob MosesとPerry Farrellのトラックをリミックスして以来、Solomunの初めてのリリースとなる。また、2月にはシングル「Rottweinfleck」をリリースしている。 [20]

2021年初頭、約11年ぶりとなる本人名義の新作アルバムをリリースする。[21]
