解説Messerschmitt Bf109G-2 -14055 White 3- (43529643134).jpg
c/n 14055.
In July 1943 this Bf109 operated with 1 Staffel of Jagdgeschwader 5 (I./JG.5) and was being flown by Feldwebel Josef Sommeregger when it was shot down by an RAF Hampton bomber and crash landed on the sea near Egesund, Norway.
Recovered in December 1988, the airframe is now subject to an ongoing restoration using some salvaged parts from other crash sites.
Wk/Nr 14055 was originally built as a G-1 variant, but later gained some G-2 modifications in service. It is now being restored as a G-1, as no other G-1s are known to exist.
On display during restoration at the Flyhistorisk Museum, Sola, Norway.
