English: c/n 16587 / 33335. Built 1945. Allocated US military serial 44-77003 but delivered directly to the RAF as KN645. Fitted out as a VIP transport and used as the personal transport of the British Military Governors of Germany including Sir Sholto Douglas and General Sir Brian Robertson. She went on to become the last Dakota in RAF service and was finally retired in 1970. Displayed at Colerne from 1974 and moved to Cosford in 1975 where she has been ever since.
