Built May 1945 as a C-47B-53-DK with the US military serial 44-77020. Transferred to the RAF as a Dakota IV in June 1945 and given the British military serial KN655. Served with 512sqn and 436sqn before being transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force in June 1946 and given the serial ‘1000’. Renumbered as ‘12965’ in 1970 as a ‘CC-129’ and then saw a civil career, first in Canada as C-GGJH and C-GSCC, and then in France as F-GIAZ and F-GIDK. She is now F-AZOX and based at Caen Carpiquet with Seine Aviation, although she wears Chalair Aviation titles.
She is seen displaying at the 2019 Fête Aérienne Le Temps Des helices (Aerial Festival – The Time of the Propellers).
